20th anniversary of equal marriage in Spain
"Dos Hermanas hosts the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of equal marriage in Spain.
The association Visibles DH, with the collaboration of the Town Council of Dos Hermanas and the Provincial Council of Seville, is organising the next wednesday 10 september a commemorative event to celebrate 20 years since the approval of equal marriage in Spain, one of the most important social achievements in terms of LGTBI rights.
The event will take place at the La Almona Cultural Centre and will feature two highlights:
18:00: Commemorative Exhibition
Inauguration of the commemorative exhibition that will take a look back at the two decades of progress, milestones and testimonies on equal marriage in our country.
19:00: Round Table
With the participation of activists, institutional representatives and people involved to the defence of the LGTBI rightsThey will reflect on what has been achieved and what challenges remain in terms of equality and diversity.
With this event, Visibles DH wants to pay tribute to the efforts of the LGTBI movement and civil society that made this historic breakthrough possible, while vindicating the need to continue building a fairer, more inclusive and respectful society with diversity.
The citizens of Dos Hermanas and the whole province are invited to participate in this day of celebration and collective memory".
