The Hermitage of Our Lady of Valme, settled on land belonging to the inheritance of Cuarto, was ordered to be built by the King Ferdinand III in honour of the miraculous image for the favour granted in the battle of Tablada. The chapel suffered significant damage when the Pólvora mills built nearby in the first third of the 17th century exploded, and was rebuilt in 1677.
