La Laguna de Fuente del Rey is hosting two environmental activities on 1 February to mark World Wetlands Day and Environmental Education Day.<\/h1>\n

Family birdwatching tours for World Wetlands Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the occasion of the\u00a0World Wetlands Day<\/strong><\/em>the\u00a0Dos Hermanas Town Council<\/strong>, in collaboration with\u00a0SEO\/BirdLife Seville<\/strong>, organises\u00a0two free family birdwatching tours<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0with the aim of raising awareness of the natural wealth and biodiversity of the Laguna de Fuente del Rey, one of the main natural areas of the municipality.<\/p>\n

The routes, guided by specialised SEO\/BirdLife staff, will allow participants to walk along the wetland trails and observe different species of birds that inhabit or use this area as a stopover point, highlighting the importance of wetlands as key ecosystems for the conservation of biodiversity and the fight against climate change.<\/p>\n

The activities will take place in\u00a0two shifts<\/strong><\/em>, the first starting at\u00a010:00 a.m.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>and the second at\u00a011:30 a.m.<\/strong><\/em>. Participation is\u00a0free<\/strong><\/em>, but the\u00a0places are limited<\/strong><\/em>, and therefore it is necessary to\u00a0prior registration<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0via e-mail\u00a0seo-sevilla@seo.org<\/a><\/p>\n

Activities to celebrate World Environment Education Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

Also on the morning of\u00a0Sunday 1 February<\/strong><\/em>, the Laguna de Fuente del Rey will host a series of activities organised by\u00a0EMASESA<\/strong>, The event is part of the commemorative programme of the\u00a0World Environment Education Day<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

This informative day, aimed at the general public, will take place during the hours of\u00a010:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and will include\u00a0botanical tours, biodiversity workshops and birdwatching activities<\/strong><\/em>, The aim is to promote knowledge, respect and participation of citizens in the protection of the environment and the responsible use of natural resources. For this activity\u00a0no prior registration is required<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
