It was built, according to tradition, by King Pedro I of Castile for his secret wife, Do\u00f1a Mar\u00eda de Padilla, and was later used as a place of recreation for the kings. It is an example of the architectural type of the Hacienda de Olivar in Seville.<br \/>\nIts group of buildings shapes the landscape in which it is located.
