The event has registered nearly 26,000 tapas and desserts consumed, with an extensive programme of activities and a high gastronomic level, reinforcing its role as a reference event in the metropolitan area of Seville.
The II Gastronomic Festival «EntreTapas».», held from 17th to 19th April in the Parque Lago de la Vida, has concluded with a positive balance, consolidating itself as an outstanding event in the gastronomic and leisure agenda of Dos Hermanas.
Over the weekend, the event has brought together more than 11,000 people, The event was a great opportunity to enjoy the culinary offerings of the participating establishments in an open and accessible environment for all audiences. In total, around 26,000 tapas and desserts, This reflects the good reception of this initiative by citizens and visitors.
The festival was attended by 12 local catering establishments, The contest, which has rewarded both creativity and public acceptance, has offered a variety of high quality gastronomic proposals.
As for the awards, the jury recognised:
- Best tapa: The Chicharrón King
- Best dessert: The Welsh King, for his pistachio cheesecake
Special mentions were also awarded to:
- Restaurant Cinema, for its cochineal taco
- Cove II, for its grilled ribs montadito
- El Aguador de Condequinto, for her Aylén cake
- El Arenoso Estate, for its torrijas
For their part, the audience has awarded the winners as their favourite proposals:
- Best cover of the public: Cove II, for its grilled ribs montadito
- Best dessert of the public: El Aguador de Condequinto, for her Aylén cake
In addition to the gastronomic offer, the event has been completed with a programme of activities aimed at different audiences. In this sense, coinciding with the celebration of the festival, the Delegation of Economic Promotion and Innovation from Dos Hermanas Town Council, through the Major Cities Tourism Plan, The Andalusian Regional Government's Ministry of Tourism, co-financed by the Andalusian Regional Government's Department of Tourism, has promoted the Gastronomic Week “SABOREA Dos Hermanas”.”, The event will include live gastronomic activities such as children's cooking workshops and showcooking, as well as musical performances with DJs.
This municipal support has contributed to enriching the experience of the event, broadening audiences and continuing to consolidate gastronomy as a strategic tourist resource of the destination, as part of the commitment to linking the events agenda with the promotion of tourism in the city.
The festival has also strengthened its metropolitan and provincial character, attracting a public not only from Dos Hermanas, but also from the metropolitan area of Seville and the province as a whole, consolidating itself as a leisure and gastronomic proposal with the capacity to attract visitors for weekend getaways linked to gastronomy, atmosphere and activities for all audiences.
From the Delegation of Economic Promotion and Innovation from Dos Hermanas Town Council, The Deputy Deputy Mayor, Carmen Gil Ortega, has made a positive assessment of the development of the festival, stressing that “this type of initiative helps to boost local economic activity and to continue to position Dos Hermanas as an attractive destination linked to gastronomy and leisure”.
She also stressed that “EntreTapas is consolidating as a proposal that combines the promotion of the hospitality industry with the generation of experiences that reinforce the tourist projection of the city, within the strategy of Tourism of Dos Hermanas”.”.
With this second edition, the Dos Hermanas Town Hall continues to make progress in the promotion of its gastronomic offer, supporting events that encourage participation, local consumption and the development of the hotel and catering sector.
